The reason why I didn't write yesterday is a LONG story. And its not a good one. I'll write it down in a short and sweet condensed version. Yesterday when we got to class there was a rumor going around that someone had a gun. We all thought it was a fake until other kids from other schools were asking us why we were in a lockdown. Mrs. Anderson said not to worry. 30 minutes later we heard more about it and Mrs. Anderson asked if anyone else had heard about it and the whole class pretty much said they did. She sent out a BBS and we went into a Code White lockdown just after that. Then we went to Code Red. Megan and I were terrified and although they may not admit it, the class was too. We were in a lockdown for 2 hours. It was really scary and long; SWAT teams were checking all the classrooms and it was VERY confusing. They never found the guy but there was someone. The cops interegated many kids that looked like the description. Who knows what will happen next. OH, and on top of that we have 2 basketball games tonight.

Today is our first day back from Thanksgiving Break. I had a fun and tiring week. Football season is officially over but basketball season has just started. On Tuesday night, JV and Varisty played against the Riverview Sharks and JV pulled out a great win. I'm not sure what happened at the Varisty game but the score for JV was 36 to 34. The Freshmen cheerleaders cheered for the boys JV game and the JV and Varisty squads both cheered for the Varisty boys. Good Job RAM BOYS!

Today Megan and I went to the Mexican Ballet on a field trip with a certain number of kids from the Creative Arts Academy. Yesterday was Career Day and Megan and came to Mrs. Anderson's room to see a speaker talking about Graphic Design. Last night, the JV and Varisty team went away to their first basketball game and the girls won! Good Job Lady Rams!

Today Megan and I switched computers because of the different keyboards. I like this one a lot better. We are currently working on our Chapter 6 Tutorials. I'm also going to check Portraits by Tina to see if the Riverview vs. Sarasota game is on there. Nothing new in cheerleading but next Friday we play Doctor Phillip's High School. Megan thinks its Dr. Phil. We are district champs, which means we won first in the division. GO RAMS!!!

Today in class we watched the rest of the move: The Day After Tomorrow. We watched the most of it in class on Friday. Also the internet wasn't working on Thursday when it was time to update our blogs. On Friday was the big Sarasota vs. Riverview game. And what did I tell you? Riverview would crush Sarasota! We beat then 35 to 28 when Sarasota scored 28 at the last second! It was a great game and shame on you any Riverview student who thought we were going to be beaten bad! I defiantely had faith in the Ram Boys! Now were 1st in our division! Imagine that?!

Today we have a substitute. Last night was the Freshmen game were we lost 35 to 13. We were winning in the first quarter by an extra point and then the Sailors scored 3 more touchdowns during the rest of the game. But at the last 30 seconds, we scored our last touchdown which we all celebrated. That was the last game for the Freshmen and the boys had to turn in their gear. Last night the captain for the Freshmen cheer squad was out for pink eye (she's feeling much better) and it rained all day so it was too wet to stunt. The rain actually held up for us. Tonight is the JV game; GOOD LUCK!!

Today we are going to work on some more of our Chapter 3 Tutorials. The weather is awful right now. It has been raining all morning long like a hurricane but there are hurricane force winds. Hopefully it holds up enough for the Freshmen game tonight. This is the last Freshmen game for the year and tomorrow is the last JV game of the year. But soon to take the place of football, is basketball season. Good news not realting to cheerleading or Riverview is Spiderman 3 is coming out on October 30th! Can't wait; 6 more days!

Today we are working on more of those tutorials on the internet. Suppousedly there's more than we thought there was. I find them hard to understand and very long. But that is what we have to get down. Today Dr. Moore is sitting in our class so everyone is on their best behavior. The staph infection is still infamous in the newpapers and it is making us feel all warm and fuzzy. I think the school board should shut down all the schools and sterilize every room and place in the school. They should put some extra money into this in order to keep the students safe. That's just my opinion. I just want it to go away. Nothing happening in cheerleading today except for some meetings to decorate for Ram Jam. Looking forward to that!!

This weekend we had a 3 day break and it went by soooo fast. I want it to be Saturday again. Also there is a really bad staff infection going around Riverview and if you get it you can die. Just another reason to look forward to going to school! :-$ If you get the infection it gets into your skin and it never goes away except for the bad symptoms. It's really scary and it has been around but it was brought to the news from Casey Kelly a Sarasota High School student who had it really bad. He is an incredible baseball pitcher and it was so bad that his pitching arm had to be operated on. Now he's in the hospital. Scary stuff. It is occuring in more athletes so being a cheerleader I'm a little worried. We also have practice today and I bet Mrs. Ivey will talk to us about it at our meetings before practice. Hopefully it goes away and doesn't affect anymore students. :-[...

I'm writing this post at home because we had a test today in class and I didn't have time to write. Last night was Fresmen against Booker. We didn't do too well. We would be so close to a touchdown and all the sudden they got the ball. I swear we were defense ALL the time. Oh well. We are going to beat Sarasota on their own turf and we are going to beat them at the big Varisty game coming up. I'm so excited and pumped for Ram Jam and THE game! Also my aunt's in town visiting and this week is a 3-day weekend. YES!!

Today I only have one more worksheet left online. The cheerleaders also have practice with the exception of a few volleyball games. I don't have much to write today just that I'm dissecting a lamb heart today in science. :-! I'm still a little grossed out! (Sorry that has nothing to do with cheerleading!)
Monday, October 15, 2007
Today we did some more on our interactive textbook pages and I got some of it down. We have a new student today and she sits right next to me. She is also a cheerleader and is interested in being a Riverview Rams cheerleader! GO RAMS!!! She is going to be watching us practice today. Also I helped her make her blog on sports at Riverview.
Friday, October 12, 2007
Today we started work on these really hard on-line tutorials from our textbook. I think they weren't even from the right textbook. Now we just got a break. Anyway, today there was in early morning pep rally with the band and the Varisty cheerleaders to promote the game tonight. Although the game is away at Manatee, (good luck!:-D) there is always a early morning pep rally that the JV squad and Freshmen squad have to be at to cheer on the other squad. It's lots of fun and there is always a great turnout!! GOOD LUCK RAMS! :-)

In class everyone finished their blog presentations. Now we are about to get our new Computer I.D. and passwords. Last night we had no game! It turns out the football played had a killer practice and the game was canceled. They were happy. But tonight is the JV intersquad game and Freshmen are having a scrimage against each other at practice. Cheerleading practice has officially been canceled each Thursday. We no longer need 3 days to practice since football season is just about wrapped up and freshmen volleyball has come to an end. Soon we will be cheering at basketball games throughout the rest of the winter.

Presentations
Today we are going to be doing some more presentations. I presented yesterday along with several others. Most people are changing their music and videos because they are too inappropraite for school. Then we were given some advice on our blogs. I had a good color-contrast, but I had to fix my text size.

Homecoming
On Friday was the homecoming game. Riverview Rams against Riverview Sharks. The JV cheering squad cheered with the Varisty because of the importance of the homecoming game. They were also accompanied by past Alumi cheerleaders. These included past coaches (2 are coaches for the Freshmen squad and another coached before Mrs. Ivey!) and cheerleaders. While the other squads were cheering the Freshmen squad was promoting the cheerleaders on the 50 years of cheerleading float with the Alumnis. Today I added this post and edited my profile.

Today I added some more images and page elements to my blog. I added all the team's group shots and pictures from the cheerleaders in action during games. I also added the music used for half-time shows by the cheerleaders and text. Go Rams!

I will tell about what happened at the games, and how many push-ups we have to do (:-P)! I also will show want fun activites we do!
